30 Day Renewal - The Benefits of Celery Juice

May 25, 2021

Yes! I am on the Celery Juice wagon. The Medical Medium has won me over and I am a Celery Juice convert.

I wish I would have known about all the incredibly healing properties of this magic herb earlier… but I guess timing is everything.

I’m halfway through my 30-Day renewal program and as a part of this program I’m drinking 16 – 24 oz of fresh organic celery juice every morning.

My morning routine basically looks like this:

6:45 am:  Drink 20 oz of water with 5 Super Amino Tablets from Purium.
7 – 8 am:  Go for a hike with my husband and our dog.
8:30 am:  Drink 16 – 24 oz of fresh celery juice.
9 am:  Drink my Purium Power Shake

As you can see from my schedule I drink my celery juice on an empty stomach, then wait 30 minutes before consuming anything else (including water).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t add anything to your celery juice when you drink it, if you want to receive the most benefits. No lime… no...

30 Day Renewal - Day 9 and My WHY!

May 18, 2021

Why Know Your WHY?

When You Know Your WHY, You Know Your WAY!

I’ve been talking about knowing your WHY with my coaching clients a long time before Simon Sinek made it popular.

We see the question “what’s your why?” in books, podcasts, motivational talks and workshops. It helps us establish meaning and a purpose behind our drive.

Knowing our WHY also helps us develop a sense of purpose. Studies show that people who feel a sense of purpose make more money, are happier, healthier & more confident, and deal with stress & anxiety more easily.

So here I am, on a 30-day renewal and today is day 9.

Have I slipped a little? Yep! In full transparency, on day 6 and 7 I slipped and didn’t fully stick to my plan. I’m back on track now, but what I realized is that I didn't get clear on my WHY at the beginning of the 30 days so it was easier to justify cheating.

No one is forcing me to do this 30-day renewal. I can drop it today and forget about it...

30 Day Renewal - Day 3 and Three Pounds Down

May 12, 2021

Health is a personal journey.

Weight is also a very personal journey.

Some people might read this and roll their eyes thinking that I really have nothing to worry about in terms of my weight. While it is true that I am not obese, depending on your definition, it is also true that my weight has been a private struggle and this is the first time I’m discussing it publicly.

I’m more comfortable telling someone my age than I am my weight. Not that my age or weight comes up in a conversation regularly, but it’s an interesting fact nonetheless. I’m sure many people feel the same way.

Lately, I don’t like looking in the mirror. I don’t like the way my clothes look on me. I don’t like the way I FEEL when I wake up in the morning.

It wasn’t always that way.

I was skinny as a kid – tall and lanky – but I could eat! My grandmother always commented on the fact that she didn’t know where I put it all. She said I had a hollow leg!

30 Day Renewal

May 10, 2021

re·new·al | \ ri-ˈnü-əl

1. : the act or process of renewing
2. : the quality or state of being renewed

I've done my fair share of challenges, cleanses and detoxes... but this month I'm choosing to focus on my health for a much needed 30-day RENEWAL!

Today is day one of my 30-day renewal challenge!

My word for 2021 is vitality but over the past couple of months my behavior has incorporated more stagnation and avoidance than it has energy and drive.

So I'm climbing back up into the saddle, and it's all starting with celery juice.

I know! I know! It sounds random and maybe a little gross - but stick with me here.

Did You Know Celery is an Herb?

The juice from this powerful and healing herb has MASSIVE anti-inflammatory properties and flushes out toxins from the body. Celery juice helps to purify your bloodstream… aid in the repair of ligaments and bones… prevent migraines… reduce blood pressure… clear up skin...

Using Your Word of the Year To Simplify Your Goals in 5 Easy Steps

Jan 06, 2021

Well 2020... That Was Weird!

If last year has taught us anything, it's that things can go sideways really quickly and knock you off balance!

Normally at the beginning of every year I write a list of goals I want to accomplish throughout that year. Some of my goals in the past have been:
  • Learn a new language.
  • Read a book every week.
  • Start a podcast.
  • Sign up X amount of people to my programs.
  • Get in the best shape of my life.
You get the idea.

I would estimate that I accomplish 10% of the goals I put down on my list by the end of the year (probably less) – and if you know me, you know I’m VERY driven, focused and determined. So why only 10%?

“You overestimate what you can do in a year, but underestimate what you can do in ten”.

Over this past week, once again I sat down with a cup of tea and set some goals for myself... but here's the thing! I simplified the process significantly this year because I want 2021 to be full of...

10 Of The Best Holiday Gift Ideas On A Budget

Dec 15, 2020

2020 Holiday Gift Guide!

I LOVE giving gifts! I love it.

I love thinking about the person I'm buying for... I love shopping for them... I love wrapping gifts, making cards and adding to their holiday experience.

Over the past few years since we moved to New York, our gifting budget has shrunk quite significantly. It's almost non-existent BUT that doesn't mean I still can't enjoy my love of giving gifts.

Here is a fun list of gift ideas I've created that might help you find that perfect gift for someone on your list - even when your budget is a bit tight (and let's be honest... after 2020 that's the case for many of us).

#1. For The Outdoor Lover

The Campo from BE Outfitter is a hammock, rain poncho, shelter, and ground cover all packed into one incredibly functional and packable product. They also sell amazing backpacks AND there is a 30% discount off the entire site right now.

Having The Courage To Let Go.

Nov 13, 2020

Letting Go.

What does that mean to you?

I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately as I’ve been shifting my energy and how I spend my days. Normally my days are time blocked from the moment I wake up to the moment my head hits the pillow at night. Meetings, sessions with clients, working out, creating programs, updating websites, meditating, working with my staff, eating, professional development, webinars, social media, writing, shooting videos, going live, family and domestic responsibilities.... ALL the things and more squeezed into a very short day.

That's the way it's been for a long time, but not any more. Over the past several weeks I've:

  • Let go of projects that I thought we’re helping me achieve certain goals.
  • Let go of the idea that working hard is the path to success.
  • Mentally let go of things I would typically be stressing over all day and night that I thought were important.
  • Even let go of physical items that are no longer serving me that I've been...

The Painful Stories We Tell Ourselves

Nov 04, 2020

One of my stories is that nothing ever works out for me.

It’s been playing over and over in my head a lot lately. The voice has been getting louder and louder… especially over the past few years.

If I were to sit down and make a list of all the things that have worked out for me, I’m sure it would take a significant amount of time. It’s not lost on me that throughout my life I’ve achieved a lot and have been very successful. Intellectually I know that I’ve accomplished a lot. I recognize that I’ve had many incredible experiences and I’ve lived an amazing and fulfilling life on so many levels. But my story is that I can’t do anything right… nothing works out for me… why do I even bother. Blah, Blah, Blah!

Stories suck!

I KNOW that everything happens for us (and not to us)… I KNOW we create our own realities and circumstances… I KNOW our challenges help us to learn and grow and evolve… I KNOW the...

It’s Time To Get My Groove Back!

Oct 27, 2020

Have you heard of the 4 Sacred Seasons?

I learned about them from Dr John Amaral, who studied with and was mentored by Dr Donny Epstein.

The 4 Sacred Seasons are Discover, Transform, Awaken & Integrate.

When you’re in the season of Discover, shit is hitting the fan so-to-speak. Life has thrown you a curve ball and you’re being asked to discover something about yourself that you’ve been avoiding, suppressing, numbing, resisting… all the things we do as humans to evade the stuff in our lives we need to take a closer look at, acknowledge and accept about ourselves or our situation.

Transform is the season when you are full of energy and you take massive action! It’s actually more painful for you to NOT take action in this season. You see the future… the future is now… you set goals and work towards achieving them. You feel invigorated, motivated and excited about what you’re creating so there’s a lot of momentum and action.

A New Way To Look At Success By Honoring My Integrity

Oct 20, 2020

I’m tired of feeling like nothing is working.

I’m tired of being sad.

I’m tired of working so fucking hard.

Recently I’ve taken a few things off my plate and will continue to over the next few months. I've sold one of my businesses... I stopped running my Mastermind for Female Entrepreneurs... I've opened up my schedule... I've put a pause on 1:1 coaching... and there will be more changes in the upcoming months.

My focus now will be to wake up every morning, meditate, tune into what I really need to be focusing on… and do THAT.

I will do the thing that I’m guided to do during my morning meditation and journaling practice.

If I receive a message during my meditation that says I need to focus on spending more time with my daughter… I’ll organize my time around THAT.

If I’m guided to write a blog post that day… I’ll do that.

If I get a message that I need to reach out to a specific friend or family member…...
