30 Day Renewal - The Benefits of Celery JuiceMay 25, 2021
Yes! I am on the Celery Juice wagon. The Medical Medium has won me over and I am a Celery Juice convert.
I wish I would have known about all the incredibly healing properties of this magic herb earlier, but I guess timing is everything.
I’m halfway through my 30-Day renewal program and as a part of this program I’m drinking 16 – 24 oz of fresh organic celery juice every morning.
My morning routine basically looks like this:
6:45 am: Drink 20 oz of water with 5 Super Amino Tablets from Purium.
7 – 8 am: Go for a hike with my husband and our dog.
8:30 am: Drink 16 – 24 oz of fresh celery juice.
9 am: Drink my Purium Power Shake
As you can see from my schedule I drink my celery juice on an empty stomach, then wait 30 minutes before consuming anything else (including water).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t add anything to your celery juice when you drink it, if you want to receive the most benefits. No lime… no lemon… just 100% fresh celery juice.
When it comes to chronic illness, celery is a powerful tool.
INFLAMMATION AND AUTOIMMUNE
I suffer from Hypothyroidism, so when I learned that celery juice is incredibly beneficial for people who suffer from autoimmune conditions my interest peaked!
Celery juice is packed with anti-inflammatory properties and starves nasty bacteria and viruses that cause autoimmune conditions.
Not only does it starve these pathogens, but it acts like an antiseptic because of the powerful mineral salts that celery contains. Viruses like Epstein-Barr, Shingles and HHV-6, as well as bacteria like Streptococcus are broken down and eventually destroyed by these salts.
From what I’ve read in Cleanse To Heal and other Medical Medium articles, viruses like Epstein-Barr feed on toxic heavy metals like mercury and aluminum. As they feed on these toxic heavy metals they create neurotoxins as by-products. These neurotoxins are responsible for insomnia, erratic heartbeat, vertigo, cold hands & feet, body twitches & tremors, skin issues, and more.
The mineral salts in celery flush out toxins, dead pathogens, and neurotoxins from your body.
When antibodies are present within your body, it’s because there is a pathogen present that your body is trying to fight. Celery juice aids in the fight to flush these pathogens out in order for your body to do what it does best – HEAL!
Your gut acts as a second brain in your body. It is lined with 100 million nerve cells (more than the spinal cord) and your brain and gut communicate rapidly through a neural circuit that allows them to send signals within seconds.
The health of our gut is directly related to how we feel. 90% of serotonin is manufactured in the gut, not the brain.
Gut bacteria also produces neurotransmitters like GABA and dopamine that are essential to regulating your mood, anxiety, focus, stress, and motivation. Our brains reacts based on the health of our gut.
Celery juice helps to restore our gut and digestive system, impacting how we feel emotionally as well as physically.
There are so many additional benefits including:
- Liver repair
- Blood sugar balance
- Electrolyte enhancement
- Constipation and bloat ease
- Slowing down the aging process
AND SO MUCH MORE!
I’m loving this journey and learning more about the benefits of celery juice. It's such an effective tool and I'm grateful I incorporated this into my 30 day renewal journey.
Questions I’ve been asked about celery juice:
Does Celery juice make you poop?
Yep! Celery juice improves your digestion and helps to heal your liver, which increases your bile production. Celery juice therefore helps to flush out your system relieving you of constipation and bloating.
What juicer do you use to make Celery juice?
I bought a Mueller Austria Juicer that is inexpensive and works really well. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and it doesn't take up much space on our counter top. Living in NY we don't have a lot of counter space so I really appreciate a smaller sized appliance - especially because I'm using it every day.
How does Celery juice taste?
Well... some days it tastes better than other days. If you can find "mild tasting" celery that's organic then that is 100% the way to go. I have purchased celery over the past two weeks from Whole Foods Market, Fresh Direct, Union Market, and our local Betty & Bob's grocery store and the taste varies. In full transparency, some days it's hard to get down the entire 16 ounces, and other days it isn't a problem at all.
You get used to it drinking it... and I'm always reminding myself how beneficial it is for my mind and my body.
If you missed it here are my other post leading up to my halfway point of this 30 day journey I'm on:
